Laser hair removal relies on a precise scientific principle: the light emitted by the laser targets the melanin in the hair, converts into heat, and selectively disables the hair follicle while preserving the surrounding skin.
Result: the hair becomes finer, lighter, and progressively disappears.
New-generation lasers (Nd:YAG, Alexandrite) now allow safe and effective treatment of all skin types, including medium to dark phototypes, thanks to integrated cooling systems that ensure both comfort and safety.
Laser hair removal is suitable for:
• Women and men, for all body areas (face, legs, chest, back, bikini area, arms, etc.)
• Adolescents after puberty, once hair growth has stabilized and the hair becomes thicker and more pigmented, therefore richer in melanin
• Individuals with ingrown hairs and recurrent skin irritation
• Patients with excessive hair growth of hormonal origin, after an appropriate medical evaluation (PCOS, thyroid disorders, etc.)
Laser technology targets dark, melanin-rich hair. It is less effective on light, blonde, red, or grey hair, for which other techniques such as electrolysis may be recommended.
All body areas may be treated:
• Face (upper lip, chin, …)
• Body (legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders)
• Sensitive areas (underarms, bikini line, nape of the neck, fingers, navel…)
A personalized preliminary assessment is essential to evaluate the patient’s skin phototype, as well as the density and characteristics of the hair, in order to tailor the laser parameters accordingly.
Before each session, the treatment area should be shaved — waxing, tweezing, or threading must be avoided, as the laser targets the hair root.
Sun exposure to the treated area should be avoided for 15 days before and 15 days after the session.
Sun protection is mandatory.
On average, the treatment requires 6 to 8 sessions, scheduled as follows:
• Every 5 to 6 weeks for the face, arms, and bikini area
• Every 8 to 10 weeks for the legs and back
Each session lasts between 10 and 40 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
A mild tingling sensation may be felt; however, integrated cooling systems significantly reduce discomfort.
It is recommended to shave the treatment area 48 hours before the laser session.
Results are progressive and long-lasting when the hair growth cycle and recommended intervals between sessions are respected:
• Significant reduction of hair density after a few sessions
• Finer, lighter hair with gradual disappearance over time
• Decrease in ingrown hairs and skin irritations
• Visible improvement in skin texture and overall uniformity
• Possible attenuation of certain pigmentary spots
